VCA Animal Diagnostic Clinic, VCA’s leading specialty practice serving North Texas and the Dallas metroplex area, is seeking Veterinarians (non-boarded) to join our team as full-time Hospitalists.
ADC is a high-volume specialty referral practice offering Small Animal Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Medical and Radiation Oncology, and Critical Care cases for direct referrals.
Our team of hospitalist allows for 24-hour 7 day a week doctor care for inpatients. The team of three hospitalists supervises the implementation of treatment plans created by the veterinary specialist and medically manages changes with patient status during non-admitting hours. Additionally, ADC plans to further maximize our hospitalists by implementing after-hours admittance only for current ADC patients with acute illness. At this time, we are not a 24-hour walk-in emergency center.
We believe the best candidates for this position are those with an interest in critical care case management and those who wish to participate in the evolution of a rapidly growing hospital and future ER service. Those with an interest and ideas in growing a critical care department should strongly consider this position.
This is a unique, opportunity for an emergency veterinarian or primary care veterinarian to bypass the more stressful aspects of client-centric veterinary medicine while working alongside specialists to grow their skills in intensive case management.
At the ADC our hospitalists enjoy a respectful, inclusive environment, as well as a short workweek, which allows for an improved quality of life. Our typical hospitalist schedule can be seen below:
Schedule
36-hour work weeks
12-hour shifts 3 days a week (that is 4 days off a week!)
No Holidays
In addition to flexible employment opportunities, our hospital offers a strongly competitive salary that lacks production goals, provides access to high caliber equipment, and fosters an inclusive and respectful hospital culture.
