Firetower AC and Animal Hospital of Pitt County is seeking a veterinarian for an associate position within our group practice. While experience is preferred, we welcome new graduates that seek to practice in a group that offers mentoring and sharing. All three of our facilities are AAHA certified hospitals. Our practices have digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser, in addition to full Idexx in-house diagnostic equipment. After hours emergencies are referred to a local Emergency Clinic. The ideal candidate will combine outstanding communication skills with excellent clinical skills and an outgoing personality.
Greenville is home to East Carolina University and is located approximately one hour east of Raleigh and 1.5 hours from the beaches. East Carolina University is the home of the Brody School of Medicine, a Dental School, Nursing School in addition to many other liberal arts studies such as Music, Art, Theater and Education.
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of NC
Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members
Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
Compassionate team player who can uphold great reputation with clients
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
Proficiency in surgery a plus
