Polaris Veterinary Center is looking for an Associate Veterinarian Polaris Veterinary Center is a full-service veterinary clinic located on the Northeast side of Lincoln, Nebraska. We are looking for an Associate Veterinarian to assist us with providing the best possible medical care, surgical care, and dental care for our highly valued patients. Polaris Veterinary Center has a new standalone building built in 2017 with an Associate Veterinarian’s Office, three double-entry exam rooms, a comfort room, two surgery areas, dental suite, large prep/care area, isolation ward, and an enclosed patient exercise yard. We utilize the latest technology including dental radiographs and a new set of dental drills and polish, and laser surgery. We also perform ultrasounds, laser therapy, digital radiographs, and Idexx in-house labs. We have six licensed veterinary technicians and three veterinary assistants to provide support to doctors with appointments and patient care. Duties - Examine animals to detect and determine nature of diseases or injuries.
- Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
- Collect body tissue, feces, blood, urine, or other bodily fluids for examination and analysis.
- Inoculate animals against various diseases, such as rabies and distemper.
- Provide counseling to clients about their pets’ health and wellness, injuries or illnesses, treatment procedures, or euthanasia options.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret resulting images or reports.
- Train or supervise other employees who handle or care for animals while practice owner is away.
- Research diseases to which animals may be susceptible in order to treat patients.
Work Schedule Polaris Veterinary Center offers flexible scheduling. We are hoping to fill either a part time or full time position.
