MCPAWS Inc is seeking a new veterinarian to join our team! Job duties for this position will be balanced between clinical and surgical duties at our full-service veterinary hospital and taking care of the veterinary needs of cats and dogs being cared for at our no-kill, shelter facility. This position will join a veterinary team consisting of one, full-time veterinarian, two part-time veterinarians, several established relief veterinarians and an excellent support crew at both the hospital and shelter locations. Expect this hybrid community/shelter veterinarian role to be exciting and fast paced! Our community is growing with more people and more pets moving to the area every day. Ideal candidates will be experienced in veterinary medicine and comfortable developing care and treatment plans for patients. Daily duties include a wide variety of surgical procedures including trauma cases, gastrointestinal surgery, orthopedics, dentistry, and high volume spay/neuter for both shelter animals as well as pets belonging to underserved pet owners in our community. Scheduled wellness and diagnostic appointments as well as urgent and during hours emergency appointments are routine. Our new Safety Net Programs ensures that clients experiencing financial hardship can access lifesaving and routine veterinary care for their beloved family members, while also providing dedicated funds for shelter animals that need veterinary care above and beyond the basic vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. Community veterinary medicine opportunities including low cost spay/neuter, vaccination and microchipping, and Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats are given high priority and there is much potential to grow these programs. Schedule: Full time, salary, exempt Reports to: Executive Director Annual Salary: Negotiable. $90,000 - $100,000/year and $10,000 signing/relocation bonus. We are open to production based compensation models as well.
