The mountains are calling! ANDREWS VETERINARY HOSPITAL is seeking a full time associate veterinarian. We welcome new grads to apply - we love to mentor! We are located in Cherokee County in the western corner of North Carolina, Andrews is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of big cities. Nevertheless, it’s known to be “only two hours from anywhere” because it is just 100miles from Asheville, North Carolina, Knoxville, Tennessee, and Chattanooga, Tennessee; Atlanta, Georgia is just a bit further at 150 miles. Big city conveniences are close enough for a short weekend or afternoon getaway, but most Andrews’ residents spend their free time exploring the great outdoors. Nestled in the heart of North Carolina’s Great Smoky Mountains, this peaceful small town sits in a scenic valley surrounded by lakes, creeks, forests, and mountains. Whether your interests are horseback riding, hiking with your dogs, mountain biking, kayaking, white water rafting, or camping, the opportunities for new sites and outdoor adventures are endless. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Blue Ridge Mountains, Nantahala Forrest, Lake Nantahala, Fontana Lake, Hiwassee River, Appalachian Trail, Bartram Trail and the Nantahala Outdoor Center are a few of the area attractions. Community and familial involvement is also robust in this small town with church functions, youth groups, and school events. |
