Shakespeare Veterinary Hospital, a well-established, dynamic, small animal and exotics practice in coastal Fairfield County Connecticut seeks a full-time or part-time associate veterinarian to join our team.
Established in 1977, we are a progressive, well-equipped, primarily small animal practice with a modest number of avian, reptile, and other exotic patients. Located in Stratford Connecticut, in coastal Fairfield County, we provide passionate pet care through wellness, diagnostic, medical, surgical, dental, and other services.
Our hospital is equipped with the latest in diagnostic and patient-monitoring technology, including: in-house laboratory (chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis), microscopy with high-resolution imaging capability, rebound tonometry, digital EKG, high-definition oscillometric blood pressure, PO2, PVI, positive pressure ventilation, cryosurgery, digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, and video-guided endoscopy. Additionally, we are in close proximity to after-hours emergency hospitals and referral centers.
The ideal candidate has an interest in general practice, strong surgical skills, and excellent communication skills; maintains high ethical standards, is highly motivated and active in practice development, and appreciates the bond between human beings and their pets.
